Preparation for a commission in the Armed Forces

Description

A career as a commissioned officer in the Armed Forces is perhaps one of the most challenging and rewarding a person can enjoy.  Our preparation activities focus on the holistic development of young people who wish to pursue just such a career and are delivered by an expert professional coach with significant military experience, including as a member of the Army Officer Selection Board staff.

This initial 2 hour initial meeting and assessment will be shaped according to the individual client’s background:

  • For those who have not attended a board yet it will enlighten them as to what to expect by talking around entire process and also start to assess the client’s capabilities exploring areas of strength and development.
  • For those who have attended a board but been unsuccessful or require support prior to attending Main Board this meeting will delve into the reasons for that result and look to focus in on the specific areas for improvement.

All clients will be assessed during this initial meeting with regards to their ability to think logically, communicate clearly and plan effectively.

In every case, a bespoke programme of development will be produced for agreement and subsequent delivery*.  This follow on work will ensure that each client has the opportunity to arrive at the Admiralty Interview Board (AIB), Army Officer Selection Board (AOSB) or the Officer and Aircrew Selection Centre (OASC) as prepared as they can be to face the rigours of the assessment.  Each client can expect candid and developmental feedback and advice regarding their preparation, which will follow a path specifically designed to develop the areas they most require prior to attendance at the respective selection board.

No matter what the challenge, Youngbow can and will support you in facing it.
