Does you son or daughter want a Commission in the Armed Forces?

Each branch of the British Armed Forces selects their potential officers through very similar processes. So whether it be the Admiralty Interview Board (AIB), Army Officer Selection Board (AOSB) or Officer and Aircrew Selection Centre (OASC), Youngbow will ensure the best preparation available is provided.

Our mentor, Paul Kinkaid, is a recently retired Army Lieutenant Colonel who has worked within Officer recruiting, has first hand experience of Army officer selection and is ideally placed to support your child in pursuing their dream career.  Choose individual preparation or join a group workshops to prepare through a blend of practical examples, discussions and 1-to-1 sessions. We provide candid feedback regarding your strengths and areas for development.

Mr W sent his son to us for 1-to-1 mentoring, and this is what he had to say:

“The Army Officer Selection Board is not meant to be easy.  It takes considerable mental and physical preparation, an understanding of what they are looking for and good grasp of what the pooh-traps are.  As a father I certainly found it difficult to inculcate such essentials into my son, despite some 30 years in the Army, two of which were on the staff at Sandhurst.

We were immediately impressed by Paul, he genuinely knows his stuff and after only four sessions felt that H was ready for AOSB.  Paul gave H some extremely helpful encouragement and mentoring just before he attended AOSB.  He passed and is now training at Sandhurst. So what really impressed me about Paul was that he cut to the chase from the very beginning and then tailored a specific programme of preparation which ultimately led to our son’s selection for officer training.”
